Wexer Partner ‘Connected Fitness Labs’ Named Finalist in the DADI Awards

Connected Fitness Labs, a stand-alone subsidiary of Fitness First Group, has been recognized for its unique and extensive digital fitness solution, CustomFit, by being shortlisted as a finalist in the DADI awards and the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards in 2016.

Wexer and Connected Fitness Labs announced their partnerships earlier in the year with plans to combine Connected Fitness Labs’ intelligent health & fitness app and Wexer’s virtual platform and exercise content from top brands.

Underpinned by research and deep insights into motivation, CustomFit is a white label solution available to fitness businesses and health club chains anywhere in the world. Expanding fitness far beyond the walls of a gym, CustomFit gives the fitness industry the unprecedented opportunity to build a customer base beyond existing gym-goers and reach new mobilized audiences.

Partnered with global mobility experts DMI, the Connected Fitness Labs team plan to continue to significantly invest in, and develop, the product to ensure the app delivers an exceptional user experience. CustomFit has already developed a track record of improving retention, while supporting gyms with the acquisition of new subscribers.

CustomFit was conceived, developed, tested and launched in diverse global markets by Connected Fitness Labs and DMI, a collaboration of fitness industry leaders, entrepreneurs and technology experts from around the world.

With over 220,000 users in the first year of CustomFit’s launch, Connected Fitness Labs has now partnered with Wexer Virtual to provide on-demand and live streaming group exercise features inside the app and the opportunity to white label the app to other gym operators.

CustomFit is available with clubs’ own brands, and will develop personalized workouts, set goals and provide access to a library of hundreds of exercises, video demonstrations and group exercise classes as well as create in-club challenges and engaging digital leader boards. Features developed by DMI enable members to track progress and provide feedback on their fitness journey through its integration with a clubs CRM systems.
