In 2008, professional kickboxer Shannon Hudson and his wife Heather Hudson opened 9Round — the world’s fastest growing kickboxing fitness franchise. This month, 9Round celebrated its nine-year anniversary. During that time, the company has opened more than 500 locations in 40 states and 11 countries.
Hudson recently said in a press release that the growth over the years has been exceptional, achieving more than $60 million in annual sales and creating over 2,500 jobs. “We have big plans for our company, and we are more driven and focused than before. Our goal is to have 1,000 open locations by the end of 2018,” he added.
9Round brings specialized kickboxing fitness and training to average people on all fitness levels — in a way that’s affordable, convenient and fun. The 30-minute, full-body circuit workouts include nine, three-minute stations, including cardio, weight training, core exercises and kicks and punches on 100-pound, double-end, upper cut and speed bags.
9Round has won over 50 industry awards, and was recently ranked number 121 on Entrepreneur’s 2017 Franchise 500 list. The Hudsons’ secret to success? High standards, and a solid work ethic.
“Each year we continue to get better and better, which strengthens our company’s foundation and helps give it longevity,” added Shannon. “We are just getting started.”
