FitnessOnDemand, a leader in premium, on-demand content for health clubs, has announced two senior management changes that further spotlight the company’s vision for technology-led growth.
Effective immediately, Uday Anumalachetty, the FitnessOnDemand senior product manager and technology leader, will assume the leadership role of divisional vice president for the company. Andrew Evenson, the director of brand, has been promoted to senior director of operations and brand strategy.
The changes sharpen the company’s focus on a dual strategy of category-leading technological innovation and development, and operational excellence across the board.
“We’re watching the emerging macro trends that are really shaping the future of our business, and we’re acting accordingly,” said Tom Welter, the COO of Lift Brands, the parent company of FitnessOnDemand. “Consumers want always-on, easy access to a wide variety of personalized content wherever and whenever they want it. Club owners want to engage those same consumers beyond the gym walls with their brand and their offerings. So the future for our business has to be about continuing to invest in the best content that engages consumers, but also in designing technology and bringing the right management team into place to take our customers and us to the next level.”
FitnessOnDemand’s appointment of Anumalachetty — who holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota — to divisional vice president is a testament to the singular importance of technology driving the company’s growth vision for the future.
He brings more than two decades of technology, engineering and business leadership experience to the task, as well as a long track record in integrating leading-edge product design and category-defining user experience to drive customer success at the enterprise level.
Andrew Evenson brings more than a decade of broad ranging marketing and brand management experience in the fitness industry — including four and-a-half years with FitnessOnDemand — to his new role as senior director of operations and brand strategy.
In that time, he has been instrumental in positioning the company as the industry leader in enterprise fitness technology while securing and growing key partnerships with some of the world’s leading fitness experts and content producers who have created market leader stratus in the health club, multifamily housing and hotel industries.
In his expanded role, Evenson will lead the charge for operational excellence across every touch point of the business, and chart a course for strategic brand growth.
“There is an enormous opportunity in the virtual fitness space,” said Anumalachetty. “But the brands and businesses that are going to succeed two, five or ten years from now will be the ones that truly understand what the user wants, and design exceptional products and services that deliver a game-changing experience every time.”
Headquartered in Chanhassen, Minnesota, FitnessOnDemand has a presence at commercial locations on six continents while experiencing tremendous growth, including two Inc. 5000 honors. This trend is predicted to continue through 2019 and beyond.
