How has Therabody’s percussive therapy massage devices helped enhance your recovery offerings?
Therabody’s education has brought to light three important things the product does. First, it’s a great tool to warm up your muscles before activity. Second, it’s a great tool to use during activity to continue to stimulate and activate your muscles, and promote blood flow. And third, it’s really good for recovery.
Dr. Jason Wersland and the experts they have on staff have done a nice job of putting out educational materials that help trainers and fitness professionals engage with our customers. They’re looking to us for guidance and wisdom in their physical health, and that education helps us touch on all three of those aspects.
What do your members love most about Therabody?
It’s a visceral experience — the physical experience with the percussive therapy just feels good. The members feel good, they’re relaxing, and it’s a way to promote muscle growth and muscle health without beating yourself up. It’s the “work smarter” part of the workout. They just like to experience it — it is very relaxing, they can recover quicker, and come back, train harder and make better gains.
Why is it so important to offer a top-of-the-line recovery service like Therabody?
It’s nice to align with a company like Therabody because they’re an education and product development company. People are always looking for something different and better. What promotes member connectivity, that stickiness that makes them want to come back because they like the experience? Members look at us as the people who should curate certain products for them so they don’t have to do all the shopping. I think we have picked the best product in that category, and it all stems from the fact Therabody has phenomenal education.
How would you rate Therabody’s customer service and support?
They’re always available. I’ve called my contact at Therabody on a Sunday and a Saturday, and they’ve always answered the phone. They’re connected to their customers — it’s a customer service, customer care-driven organization.
Why should other club operators consider working with Therabody?
They’re constantly developing really smart products and solutions, and the breadth of their product offerings is at the highest level. It’s supported with their customer care department — if you need them, they’re there. However, the product is so durable and robust, we just don’t see the out-of-box failures or issues we might see with other products.
