Enhanced Fitness Offerings: TRX Helps Fitnessmith Deliver

Felicia V. Shields, the COO of Fitnessmith, shares how TRX helps enhance their fitness offerings, especially during COVID-19.

Fitnessmith — based in Boynton Beach, Florida — was looking for solutions that provided aesthetically pleasing, functional training stations that sync seamlessly with both small group training programming and on-demand use. For them, the solution was TRX.

“The ability to customize the TRX Studio Line is paramount,” said Felicia V. Shields, the COO of Fitnessmith, which is a dealer partner of TRX’s. “Our client portfolio spans a wide range of fitness experiences from intense firefighter training to iconic 5-star hotels. We needed a partner that could help deliver appropriate fitness experiences for the majority of our clients.”

Below, Shields shares how TRX enhances their fitness offerings and why they’re a great pair.

How has TRX helped enhance your fitness offerings?

The variety of solutions within the TRX Studio Line allows us to create and deliver unlimited, custom programming options. Each Studio Bay can be configured to fit the needs of our clients. New and expanding options include the TRX app, add-ons to the frames, accessories to fulfill programming, as well as on-demand use.  

How have you worked with TRX throughout the pandemic? How have they been of service especially during this time?

TRX has been attentive and nimble. Several of our clients have needed to redesign their space to be able to create distinct training pods or separate their training floor to meet CDC guidelines. The ability to move TRX Training Bays to new locations or to design a floor plan with TRX Bays serving as training stations that can be cleaned or disinfected after each use has proven to be ideal. The Refinery in Atlanta, Georgia, showcases this innovative strategy. Owner Freddy Goldenberg redesigned The Refinery’s fitness floor to allow members and guests to train safely while elevating the small group training experience. Flexibility and innovation is key as we navigate fitness in 2020 and 2021.
