David Matthews, the owner of Quality Fitness Mukilteo, knows the gym can be an intimidating place. The last thing he wanted was for the equipment to be another barrier. Because of this he partnered with SportsArt for their user-friendliness, attractive designs and top-notch customer service.
Here, Matthews shares more on their partnership and why other operators should consider working with SportsArt.
Why did you decide to partner with SportsArt over other equipment companies?
There’s a noticeable difference in durability and “user-friendliness” in SportsArt equipment. It can be intimidating to hop on a new machine, especially if there’s a certain style clients aren’t familiar with. SportsArt really pays attention to detail. Everything from the weight adjustment pin to the monitors has a place and is easy to operate. It’s all very pleasing to the eye without being too busy.
They were also very accommodating when we were planning our layout and deciding which equipment was best. They provided us with 3D layouts to our exact floor plan, including flooring and wall color. They were incredibly patient and more than happy to make adjustments where needed.
How has SportsArt helped enhance your fitness offerings?
The equipment design certainly boosts presentation in our gym, and it’s not too over-sized. There are very easy-to-work-with dimensions on each machine and it provides for a nice, well-flowing gym design that doesn’t leave clients crowded or tripping up on anything.
Clients are very quick to adapt SportsArt machines into their workout. They typically gravitate toward the most attractive-looking thing in the room, which usually means they head straight for SportsArt machines.
What do your members love most about SportsArt equipment?
The ECO-POWR line is incredibly popular, as is most of their Dual-Function equipment. The non-motorized treadmills provide for absolute monster workouts that feel way different than any other treadmill our clients have been on. The cycles and ellipticals also have the benefit of being super-smooth and ultra-quiet, not to mention having electric adjustable resistance.
Normally when people join a new gym, there’s a bit of a learning curve for people to adjust to when familiarizing themselves with the equipment. SportsArt minimizes that curve and makes adapting to their equipment so much quicker than other brands.
How would you rate SportsArt’s customer service and support?
If we need them, they’re there. I don’t think we’ve ever had to worry about a slow-response time on any technical or mechanical problem, if they ever even occur. They take care of their customers.
Why should other club operators consider working with SportsArt?
You get what you pay for. There’s nothing wrong with settling for a lower-grade brand, but nothing will stand out and maintenance will just carry on as clients abuse your equipment. SportsArt presents like a luxury car. People want to try it, they want to keep using it, and they treat it with more care than your average economy line. It holds its value extremely well. SportsArt is at the top of their game and at the very front of the green fitness industry. The equipment our clients talk about and want to use is the equipment these guys produce.
