Charles Hillman, a professor at the University of Illinois, has performed a study to prove that exercise boosts brainpower. He has used treadmills and a space-age cap to monitor brain activity. The study revealed that immediately after exercising for 30 minutes on the treadmill, cognition is actually improved by 5 to 10 percent.
The length of the stronger mental power only lasts a few hours. However, further study suggests that regular exercise increases the frontal lobes and could possibly keep Alzheimer’s at bay. The test simply shows that people must keep working out over time to see all of the benefits.
