It seems like Star Wars has officially taken over. Currently, the marketplace is drenched in Star Wars-themed [insert any food, drink or item you can think of].
For some people, it’s a little bit much. But to me, it’s exciting. Star Wars is one of the most storied movie franchises of all time, so I don’t blame people for wanting to see it incorporated into the beverages they drink, the food they eat and the products they consume.
Let’s take it a step further and bring Star Wars into your business as well, with the following question: “What is the ‘force’ that drives your business’ success?” Or in non-Star Wars terms, “What drives your business and allows it to stand out from others?”
When you take a look at the most successful businesses in the world, you can typically guess or glean what their ‘force’ is, beyond the products they serve. Starbucks’ force is its culture. Culture, both among employees and its customers, is a major driving force for the company that has been integral to its success.
Within the fitness industry, the same goes for Anytime Fitness. When I look at the franchise, to me, the driving force that really stands out is community. Whenever you interact with the fast-growing franchise, it’s immediate how strong of a tight-knit community the brand strives to build among its franchisees and members.
What’s your driving force? If you’re not sure, here are some key questions that can help you figure it out:
- When you first opened your business, what was your key motivation for doing so? What were you striving to achieve?
- What do your customers compliment you on the most?
- What do you hope your customers take away from every interaction with your company?
Finding the driving force behind your business is important. Without it, you may struggle to narrow down goals or hammer out a successful business strategy. And with the end of the year looming, now is the perfect time to discover what’s truly motivating your company to succeed.
May your business force be with you.
