Life Time will officially open its first Canadian location on March 9, in Mississauga, Ontario. Residents of Mississauga are invited to a special grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on March 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. that will allow community members to tour the new facility and witness demonstrations, including a special class led by the CEO of Life Time, Bahram Akradi.
“This is a special opportunity for community residents, both members and nonmembers, to experience Life Time’s ‘Healthy Way of Life’ mantra as it comes to life featuring tours and demonstrations that highlight Life Time’s state-of-the-art amenities — including new, state-of-the-art equipment, and programming and services,” said Paul Russo, the general manager of the Mississauga location.
According to Russo, the around 143,000 square foot Mississauga location will offer sports, athletics, professional fitness and spa programs — along with over 400 exercise machines and group exercise classes such as Pilates, and yoga. The facility boasts an indoor and outdoor aquatic center with waterslides, recreation pools, lap pools and whirlpools, said Russo.
“We focus mainly on markets that will allow us to operate multiple centers that create certain efficiencies in marketing and branding activities, but we select each site based on whether that site can support an individual center,” said Russo. “Mississauga is a great market and we are excited to bring our state of the art Healthy Way of Life destination there.”
