Planet Fitness announced today that it opened its 700th club in Stockton, Calif. The brand currently has more than 4.5 million members in 47 states and Puerto Rico. In the last five years, it has nearly tripled its size from 242 clubs in 2008 to 700 today. Planet Fitness’ aggressive, strategic growth plans include both expanding in existing markets and entering new markets.

The Stockton Planet Fitness offers high quality cardio and strength equipment, a 30-minute express circuit and 12-minute ab-circuit, numerous flat screen televisions, fully-equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, massage chairs, Hydro-massage beds and a Total Body Enhancement booth. Like most clubs in the Planet Fitness chain, the Stockton location will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
