Life Time Fitness is celebrating new locations in new territories. The Healthy Way of Life Company™ announced that in 2014 it will open its first Iowa club in Des Moines and its first Michigan club in Bloomfield Township.
At 166,000 square feet, the expansive Des Moines location will boast personal training, group exercise, Pilates and yoga studios, a full-service LifeSpa and more premier amenities. The location will also offer Life Time Kids Academy, a program designed for kids between the ages of three months to 11 years. Over 60 classes are offered weekly as a part of the program, which covers a series of topics such as mind-body and life skills.
The 73,000-square-foot Bloomfield Township location will boast similar amenities to the Des Moines club, plus an indoor lap pool.
In late January 2014, Life Time Fitness bolstered its events portfolio with the acquisition of a number of events previously owned by US Road Sports & Entertainment Group, including the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon.
Many of the events purchased from US Road Sports included half marathons and 5ks. “It’s significant to our portfolio of events,” said Kimo Seymour, Life Time Fitness’ VP of Athletic Events. “Within our events portfolio, marathons had been an area in which we’d like to expand.”
On February 2, 2014, the Miami Marathon celebrated its 12th anniversary, under Life Time Fitness’ ownership.
In addition to the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon, other Life Time Fitness events include the Life Time Tri and Turkey Day 5k. Altogether, Life Time Fitness sees close to 200,000 participants span its events. The company boasts 108 clubs across the U.S. and Canada.

I just to go to the Lifetime in Chanhassen MN, now we moved 2 month ago to the woodlands TX, there is nothing like my lifetime here, I miss it sooooo much, although there is another new club in the city, is more expensive, small comparing to lifetime locations and they don even offer half of what lifetime has, and the kids area is so depressing that I just couldn’t leave the my child no for a minute. This place need desperately have a Lifetime here, please please please come to The Woodlands Tx.

Please we need club in RTP area Raleigh 27617 /Morrisville NC- Page Rd and Airport Rd. Please consider it, all the clubs in our area are in far away location, nothing close to Durham/Morrisville and being close to RTP is a great investment.
Sarasota Florida in the University PKWY Lakewood Ranch area is said to be the new Aspen. Nathan Benderson Park host the 2018 International Rowing Event and many other events. This area is highly populated with $$$$$. So please consider opening a lifetime fitness there. Already an LA Fitness, which could use some competition!
I just moved to Kansas City from Novi Michigan and I miss my Lifetime so much! There are two in Kansas but they are an hour from me, which is too far. We live in the “northland” area, north of the river, and it is absolutely booming here and there are no good gyms! Seriously, none!
