Industry Buzz: A Treat for the Industry

Horror stories from Club Solutions.Next week, Club Solutions Magazine is going to be doing things a bit differently. Instead of our normal educational articles, we’re going to be posting a series of “Horror Stories” people have experience while working in health clubs in honor of Halloween. To be honest, I am so excited to share them with you. I believe the industry is in for a real “treat,” pun intended!

I bring this up because sometimes it’s hard to break out of the day-to-day grind and have a bit of fun with your work. For me personally, I struggle with pulling myself out of countless emails, articles and interviews, and taking a step back. I can only imagine how it would feel if on top of that, I had to budget accounts, handle issues with members and implement a new Group X program.

With this in mind, I hope next week’s “Horror Stories” remind you that sometimes — no matter how horrifying a scenario — a break from the average day can be a welcome source of comic relief. Hopefully, the stories not only make you cringe, but laugh as well.

Curious as to what next week’s stories will hold? Well, here’s a quick preview: one involves a man who decided that riding a cycling bike completely nude in a glass-walled studio was appropriate.

Think you can top that? If you have a “Horror Story” of your own you’d like to share, please email it to me at rachel@clubsolutionsmagazine.com and it could be featured on Facebook.

And remember, work doesn’t have to be all grind and no play. Read next week’s “Horror Stories,” have a laugh and be grateful you’ve never had to confront a naked member on a cycling bike. Sometimes, life takes a bit of perspective!
