With summer winding down and kids heading back to school, now is the perfect time to encourage members to get back into their workout routines. With this in mind, Youfit is motivating its members to get back to their healthy habits by launching a 60-day weight loss challenge.
Members at all 100-plus Youfit locations can register to participate in the challenge for a small $20 fee.
Sign-ups for the challenge started August 10th. Once registered participants will undergo an initial weigh-in before the challenge kicks off on September 1st. They will have an additional weigh-in halfway through the challenge, then one final weigh-in to conclude the challenge on October 30th.
According the Catherine Goergen, a Youfit representative, challengers will receive numerous benefits throughout the process. “First there are complimentary, weekly bootcamp classes given by the YouCoach personal training team,” she said. “The classes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis so they usually fill up quickly. Then the YouCoaches are constantly available during the 60 days for consultations. They also email out exercise tips, healthy suggestions and exclusive challenge content to all participants.”
Throughout the challenge, members are encouraged to share their fitness journey by using #Youfit60days on all social media platforms. “We want them to share their thoughts, how they are doing, pictures, videos and whatever else they want using that hashtag,” said Goergen.
The male and female participant losing the greatest percentage of body fat will be rewarded $3,500 each. Prizes will also be given out for second and third place, both receiving $1,000 and $500 respectively.
This is the fitness company’s second challenge, having hosted one previously last spring. Goergen explained launching another challenge was a no brainer. “Probably the main benefit is allowing people to get out there and have that camaraderie and friendly competition,” she added. “With the YouCoaches there for them, we are ensuring that they are losing the weight in a healthy way. But really just making sure that this is a fun way for them to get healthy and really creating that great sense of community in the club and having people work together to get through the 60 days.”
We would love to help with offering scans during this challenge to help show each client how many inches they lost during their days. Please let me know!
