TMPL Opens the first Les Mills IMMERSIVE FITNESS

TMPL, a brand new 40,000-square-foot gym by David Barton, opened the first Les Mills IMMERSIVE FITNESS cycle studio in New York City on March 23. The one-of-a-kind gym — only the second location in the U.S. to offer THE TRIP — features cinema quality video projected on a floor-to-ceiling curved screen that creates a new world for riders and adds a visual sense of purpose to their workout. TMPL also will offer Les Mills’ newest fitness innovation, LES MILLS SPRINT, a 30-minute high-intensity cycling class as well as RPM — a 45-minute cycle program that takes riders on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding set to music.

Exclusively available in New York at TMPL, THE TRIP is an IMMERSIVE FITNESS program that gives cyclists the sensation of ascending steep glaciers, sprinting around digital velodromes or cruising into a peaceful sunset. Because this immersive experience creates a heightened sense of anticipation and reward, participants say that it leads to increased motivation and energy. IMMERSIVE FITNESS studios are now available in New York City, Santa Monica, London, Paris, Stockholm, Hong Kong and Auckland.

For those who desire high-intensity interval training (HIIT), LES MILLS SPRINT is a new indoor cycle program built on the science of HIIT to generate rapid fitness results with minimal joint impact. During this HIIT workout, participants spend 20 minutes of the 30-minute class at 85 percent of maximum heart rate or higher. Benefits of LES MILLS SPRINT include:
