HYPOXI got its start, nearly 20 years ago, as the brainchild of Dr. Norbert Egger, an Austrian sports scientist. With his invention of the HYPOXI-Method, Egger laid the foundations for an entirely new category of body shaping.
HYPOXI is a low-impact exercise method that is effective at burning stubborn fat and significantly reduces cellulite. Through its advanced vacuum and compression technology and healthy nutrition, HYPOXI activates the body’s natural system to burn specific areas of fat and cellulite.
Today, HYPOXI is represented in more than 50 countries worldwide and is now accepting applications for its U.S. franchise launch this summer. Tonya Tilney, the owner of HYPOXI Studio Aitkenvale in Australia, recently shared why she became a HYPOXI owner.
CS: Why did you want to become a HYPOXI franchisee?
TT: In trying HYPOXI and seeing my results personally, I was shocked that this machine changed my body shape. This lead me into an area I’d never been before, which was starting a business with absolutely no experience. But, my key ambition was that I could and would be able to help everyday people change their lives, in promoting a product I truly believe in, trust and love.
CS: What’s the best part of being a HYPOXI franchisee?
TT: My clients. They are what makes everything worthwhile to me, watching their journey from start to end. That is by far the most rewarding feeling any owner could ever have, knowing that I was able to be a part of their incredible weight loss success.
In addition, HYPOXI provides continuous ongoing support with branding and marketing from the head office team. With extensive studios throughout Australia, we are all happy to give each other help and support.
CS: What benefits does HYPOXI provide your members?
TT: Improving their health and well-being. They can achieve a quick and easy 30-minute workout session, with targeted results seen quickly. It is a low-impact exercise with huge benefits.
CS: What type of support does HYPOXI corporate provide?
TT: HYPOXI corporate provides technical support, in addition to national ongoing training and refreshing courses, so that all HYPOXI franchisees are fully qualified. They also host yearly conferences, which gives all studios throughout Australia the chance to get together to review training and discuss different marketing strategies — everything that you need to know and keep your business on top of the market.
CS: What do you like about the model or opportunity compared to others?
TT: This was my first start-up business. What made me feel so comfortable was that HYPOXI, by being an established, strong brand, the awareness was already out there. Being part of a strong team, being able to connect with other studio owners and having their support was a huge standout for me.
CS: What should other potential franchisees know about HYPOXI?
TT: Know and understand that no matter what, there will always be someone available to steer you back onto the right path, giving you continuous support and training. Also be sure to keep in mind your accountability. This is my business and it’s up to me to make it succeed.
