Anytime Fitness, the world’s largest and fastest-growing fitness franchise, is pleased to announce the promotion of Stacy Anderson to the new position of brand president. Anderson, who has served as the company’s chief marketing officer since 2012, will lead Anytime Fitness’ business unit and steer the continuing evolution of the franchise’s business model.
“Since the day she arrived here four years ago, Stacy has been a leader who simply gets things done,” said Chuck Runyon, CEO and co-founder of Anytime Fitness. “She collaborates well with members of every department in the company. She understands and anticipates the needs of our franchisees and our members. She embraces change and she knows how to grow a business. She’s exactly the right person we need to pilot the numerous programs, coaching services and technology initiatives we’ll be rolling out in the next few years.”
Anytime Fitness has opened an average of nearly 300 new gyms a year for the past nine years while expanding into 28 countries. During that time, the company has positioned itself as “friendly, convenient and affordable.” But today’s fitness consumers demand more than a convenient place to exercise — they expect the coaching and support that’s needed to achieve significant health improvements.
“Anytime Fitness set the industry standard for consumer convenience by providing our members unlimited access to more than 3,000 gyms, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, but we can do more,” Anderson said. “Our recent acquisition of PumpOne, the world’s largest exercise image and video library, coupled with the upcoming launch of our new digital platforms, will allow us to provide our members personalized coaching and workout routines anytime, anywhere, inside or outside the gym.”
Anderson cites “delivering better tools and training to franchisees,” among her top short-term priorities.
“We’re committed to providing our franchisees with new technology and programming to help them attract new members and turn their existing members into enthusiastic brand ambassadors,” Anderson said. “One of our biggest assets is the strength of our global 3,000 franchisee community, and if we harness the power of the group we can do an even better job of serving our members. It’s all about helping people get to a healthier place – which can mean many different things to different individuals.”
Self Esteem Brands is the parent company of Anytime Fitness and Waxing The City, an exclusive studio franchise dedicated solely to the art of waxing. The search for a new CMO to replace Anderson, who oversees the marketing departments for both franchises, will commence shortly.
