UFC GYM takes fitness for the whole family seriously. As a result, each location provides opportunities for individuals of all ages to participate in programs geared directly toward their needs, including youth programs.
UFC GYM’s youth program offerings include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, Mixed Martial Arts and more. And the goal is to create a courageous and health-conscious younger generation.
“UFC GYM’s youth program fights beyond building a fit future generation,” said Kent Lenhoff, the executive vice president of North American franchise for UFC GYM. “They are building motivated, disciplined and spirited youth.”
Here, UFC GYM’s senior vice president of marketing, Jennifer Bulger, shares more about the company’s youth programs and what makes them so special.
CS: What are some of your most popular youth programs?
JB: We have several different programs that are tailored toward our youth including a belting system for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as boxing and kickboxing classes. Our signature program is Daily Ultimate Training — we tailor the classes so that families can actually workout together. In a hectic world where there isn’t a lot of extra time, UFC GYM offers a great place for families to workout and be together and for parents to instill a healthier lifestyle in their children.
CS: What type of feedback have you received on your youth programming?
JB: We’ve received incredible feedback from parents who say that UFC GYM is creating a really safe place. Parents can take their children and know that their kids are in a great place with professional coaches.. From a kid’s perspective, they just thrive on the energy and excitement, and it’s really great to hear the laughter and what their perspective on what fitness is.
CS: What vision do you have for UFC GYM’s youth programs?
JB: For us it’s really so important to speak about self empowerment. That empowerment is building confidence within our youth, men and women. Our platform really allows for an incredible program that can take children that are just literally going to school, take them through high school and give them the outlets of additional workouts, fitness regimens and wellness tips. Those will enable them to be stronger, more fit adults. So for us in 2017, we’re really going to be focusing on our youth programming and empowerment of building self confidence and becoming the best version of yourself, whether you’re 10 or 80.
CS: Is there anything else you’d like to add?
JB: One thing I’m so proud to be a part of is the UFC community, where it’s very much a safe environment where families can be together and grow, and learn what it takes to be healthy and fit, both mentally and physically.
