With drones now a mainstay in the technology world, many industries are using them to create stunning videos for marketing purposes.
Take Newtown Athletic Club (NAC) in Newtown, Pennsylvania, as an example. The club recently created a video using drones that highlights the club’s Friday Night Live events. On Facebook alone, the video has been viewed over 7,000 times and had 44 shares.
“We saw a great opportunity for the NAC with drone videography to capture unique aerial video footage from vantage points that only small, unmanned aerial systems can provide,” said Taylor Antolino, the marketing director for NAC. “As you can see, the NAC sits on a large campus of 22-acres. We sought a way to illustrate the NAC experience and large, aesthetically pleasing facilities in a sophisticated manner. We started with an aerial survey of our 4-acre outdoor resort and pool complex during Friday Night Live — a live music, poolside event each Friday during the summer.”
Recently, NAC posted a second drone video on YouTube highlighting the club’s 30,000-square-foot Breaking Boundaries Renovation and Expansion. According to Antolino, the two-year project began in April 2017 and focuses on creating a boutique-style group exercise experience, a comprehensive wellness programming approach and a fully integrated lifestyle experience.
“We’ve learned quickly that both traditional and drone videography require a combination of planning and thinking on your feet to reach your short and long-term goals,” continued Antolino. “Identifying opportunities as they occur for ‘real time experiences’ is an important element. Now at the NAC, the sky’s no longer the limit. We are always striving to improve.”
