Blink Fitness has opened its 100th gym since being founded in 2011 in Manhattan. Today, the brand can be found in nearly a dozen major metropolitan markets in states including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Texas and California.

Blink Fitness is an affordable, premium-quality fitness concept with the tagline “Mood Above Muscle,” which celebrates “how exercise makes you feel versus how it makes you look.”

“We’ve challenged the ‘you get what you pay for’ paradigm at a gym,” said Todd Magazine, the CEO of Blink Fitness, in a statement. “Our unique vision for high-quality fitness at an affordable price has led to intense consumer and franchisee interest and has fueled steady national expansion. We are energized and built to continue surpassing milestones as we look to next year.”

The year 2019 brought a great deal of growth for Blink Fitness. Over the past 12 months it has celebrated more than 20 openings in key markets such as Chicago, Detroit, Houston and Dallas. In addition, the brand inked multi-unit franchise agreements totaling nearly 50 units in Sacramento, Boston, Nashville and Ohio.

According to Blink Fitness, these deals increase the brand’s franchise footprint by more than 50 percent and build on existing agreements covering markets in New York, Florida, Virginia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, South Carolina and Texas.

More growth is on the horizon in the year ahead.

“There’s no finish line in sight,” said Patti Rother, the director of franchise development at Blink Fitness, in a statement. “We are crossing the 100-unit threshold and well on our way to reaching our goal of 300 gyms in the next three years as we attract some of the world’s preeminent franchise groups.”
