For the past 40 years, Kevin Bryant, health club expert and industry veteran, has been working within the fitness industry in almost every capacity. As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, he attended on an athletic scholarship as a high jumper. His career path started as a physical education teacher, but Bryant quickly transitioned into the club business as a professional fitness trainer and director. Within months, he took his first position in sales and product development, working for some of the most prominent branded equipment companies in America.
Today, Bryant has accepted the position as the vice president of clubs and fitness centers at Heart Zones. He is directly responsible for driving the company’s mission to get America fit by motivating minds and engaging hearts. Using Heart Zones’ open-technology platform of individual and group data tracking, display, storage and sharing, and using wearable and equipment based fitness tech, along with a deep commitment to education and patented methodology, the product and services of Heart Zones are a perfect match for Bryant’s experiences and passions.
With natural entrepreneurial and sales instincts, Bryant has successfully helped several companies expand their brand and market share. Additionally, he opened his first health club that primarily served the 40-plus population in Denton, Texas, with his wife of 35 years, Tina. Although they later sold their local club, Bryant’s lifetime dedication to his gym’s mission — “Be Well. Live Active.” — continues on in his professional and personal lifestyle to continue helping others get and stay fit.
Bryant’s lifetime commitment to personal fitness includes daily workouts using the three pillars of Heart Zones: technology, education and patented methods. He has completed several long distance running, biking and Master’s track events, improving his performance using mobile and equipment-enabled technology.
