How was Aktiv’s design driven approach helpful in building your vision for Ozar Wellness House?
They understood I was coming from a medical, scientific approach to training, and not your typical gym/trainer experience. Our doctors, trainers and physical therapists try to create chaos in members’ brains while training under our supervision, so everyday activities are less likely to hurt them. Aktiv’s products help with dynamic functional training.
What features do your training team and clients enjoy the most?
The training team enjoys having a lot of room in our large zone to be creative, and always have the ability to create new workouts and adapt to a potential new ailment that could change the workout.
In what ways do you utilize the Aktiv TV system to guide member training and assist your coaching?
We use Aktiv TV to help guide them through workouts in between private training sessions once they have been cleared by me, or our physical therapists or acupuncturist.
What do your members appreciate most about your commitment to facility design and training experience vs other facilities they’ve frequented previously?
Ozar Wellness House patients get access to a one-of-a-kind training facility that has had each piece of equipment, from cardio to strength training equipment, handpicked by our doctors in conjunction with FitnessDesignGroup. They understood we treat everything, from post-surgical patients doing rehabilitation to professional athletes, and needed equipment that would satisfy both. Our goal was to have no fixed plane strength training equipment, which causes repetitive injuries and does not incorporate other muscles groups. We were able to do it with the humansport line, handpicked cardio equipment and functional turf area with Aktiv products.
