In what ways has your new equipment enhanced your functional training programs?
We love the Gym Rax units with pull-up bars and freedom mounts for suspension. It has provided yet another area in our clubs for one-on-one personal training, as well as small group classes. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and all equipment is relatively self-contained.
What do your members love most about the new equipment?
The ease and accessibility of equipment storage. They can view all available equipment and return it just as easily as you grab a dumbbell from a dumbbell rack. There is no equipment blocked or obstructed from view. Members also love that we added even more places where they can do pull-ups, boxing, use straps, etc.
What benefits do your staff and you see in the changes you’ve made?

We’re spending a fraction of the time keeping the entire club clean, organized and looking photo ready. Personal trainers use it around the clock as a functional training station where they can complete an entire workout without having to walk around the entire floor.

Exceptional. I now work almost exclusively with Jonna Pento, but everyone I’ve interacted with at Aktiv has been 100% service-oriented. Their team understands clubs and are constantly in the clubs of their clients understanding how their products work in real time.
