How Trainerize Took South Austin Gym’s Virtual Offerings to the Next Level

Virtual fitness is taking the industry by storm, and having a dynamic platform like Trainerize to host online workouts is essential for keeping members engaged outside the walls of your club.

When South Austin Gym & Events Center LLC in Austin Texas, was looking to upgrade its virtual services, it chose to partner with Trainerize after CEO Randy Palmer and his team “found their tools to be the most intuitive and effective” for clients.

Here, Palmer shares his experience working with Trainerize:

What are the benefits to your business as a result of this partnership?

Our business benefits greatly from Trainerize. One of the main things clients crave is control, and more so, personal attention. Their software is versatile but creates the least amount of difficulty for end users — this is important for a business. There are a lot of people who are not tech-savvy and also need help getting motivated. Trainerize has so many intuitive options, it literally makes my trainers feel and seem omniscient in their communication and problem-solving ability.

The platform does all of these things in the best possible way and in the best medium: the smartphone. Our clients literally carry us with them everywhere they go. The software allows us to accomplish these tasks — communicate with our clients and build consistent programs — in a way that allows for personalization but doesn’t require the same amount of time it would take using multiple platforms.

What are the benefits to your members as a result of this partnership?

The key benefits to our members would definitely be on the backend of what Trainerize allows us to do. The two biggest factors are quality control and replicability. We can give our members a great virtual experience and then when they recommend us to a friend, we can repeat the process quickly and easily. This is invaluable.

Another thing is the growth potential and ability to scale beyond our one physical location — we can reach clients anywhere in the world. Instead of being just a local business, with Trainerize, we’re a global brand. That means helping more people reach their goals and get access to our team of trainers.

And of course, through all of the closures with COVID-19, Trainerize has helped us keep our members on track. When gyms shut down, both fitness professionals and members were left in the lurch, but as soon as we pivoted online, we knew we had a clear path forward and a way to keep our members with us.

Have you been pleasantly surprised by working with Trainerize in any way?

Their team is extremely professional and highly responsive. Since we have begun working with them, they have been able to change and upgrade to meet our needs on a dime. The ability to adapt is the name of the game right now. I was pleasantly shocked at how quickly they could create what we needed.

What else can you tell other club owners about the benefits of working with Trainerize?

Other club owners should know by using this platform in your club through and through, you create community. This is important to us, and will be indispensable during and after the pandemic. Having a well-made virtual tool can bring people together, provide and, most importantly for a business, help monetize these virtues. Showing results to clients in graph form, keeping records and having great videos creates immense value to the consumer, and therefore, the business.

Trainerize is a client engagement mobile app and software platform that allows fitness clubs and businesses to expand their reach beyond their physical spaces, better connect with members, build meaningful relationships, and digitize the training experience. Learn more about Trainerize.
