Evolt brings the latest intelligent body composition technology that helps educate and motivate members, creates new revenue streams for clubs and trainers to IHRSA.
Evolt, the leader in intelligent body composition scanning for the fitness industry, is headed to IHRSA this year with a mission: to help clubs educate their members about body composition and wellness, and create fast, easy and additional revenue streams for every one of their businesses. Club operators wanting to get their hands – quite literally – on the latest introduction of Evolt’s body composition analysis technology, the Evolt 360 Body Composition Analyzer, should visit booth #2012.
The Evolt 360 passes a safe, low grade and unnoticeable electrical current through a user’s hands and feet to provide a comprehensive, intelligent body composition reading in just 60 seconds. Analyzing muscle mass, fat mass and both water and mineral content in the body across 40 different data measurements, the Evolt 360 provides specific, detailed readings specific to every individual and their body composition, going way beyond what is currently possibly with generic body mass index (BMI) scores. This allows club members to understand their bodies more intimately and set appropriate training or healthy weight management targets, as well as their trainers to design more effective, personalized programs to help them achieve their goals. For clubs, it’s an opportunity to create ongoing, paid monthly assessment services for members to help them manage their fitness and overall wellness activities.
“It’s time to stop talking about BMI and embrace the science backed concept of BWI – body wellness index,” said Ed Zouroudis, the CEO and founder, Evolt. “We’re all individuals with different body compositions and truly understanding that make up in an a new, detailed and more accurate way is going to change the way clubs engage their members, how instructors personalize training and nutrition programs and the overall wellness benefits members enjoy from that process every day. We’re already seeing tremendous interest for our latest tech from clubs across the country looking to further embrace and monetize the global shift to a more wellness-based approach and business model.”
FDA-approved Evolt 360 technology works by creating a bioelectrical impedance analysis, measuring and analyzing the different rates at which minor electrical charge passes through muscle, fat and other body components. The process is driven by a proprietary five-point algorithm created from extensive and scientifically-accredited research, providing analysis readings factoring BIA metrics as well as a person’s gender, age, height and weight to give an accurate and repeatable reading.
Evolt 360 has also been designed with member experience in mind. It does not require the removal of clothing or any special equipment to be worn, making it an ideal activity to do often and easily in much the same way as people might check their weight or occasionally get a heart rate or blood pressure measurement at a club’s wellness facility. All results are fed instantly to a user’s Evolt Active app for smart phones and tablets and is compatible with wearables-generated data. This tracks body composition readings as well as providing a wide variety of other personalized data including macronutrient profiles, healthy lifestyle scoring and personalized supplement recommendations for every user.
Data is also synched to a club’s Evolt 360 dashboard, allowing clubs to run a variety of challenges for members who want to lose weight or improve muscle mass over time, with regular body composition scans becoming a frequent means to track, report and credit challenge winners. At a typic cost of $20 per scan, club-wide challenges as well as ongoing member scans become fast, simple and low maintenance ways for clubs to generate new, ongoing revenue streams and add a tech-forward, differentiated service offering to members.
“This is future-forward technology today,” added Zouroudis. “At some point in the future every club, clinic and hotel fitness facility will be integrating this kind of intelligent body composition analysis into their business models to help their bottom lines, and even more importantly, the overall wellness and mindfulness of their members and patrons. For those clubs doing it today, there’s also a real competitive advantage to doing so early.”
More than 1,000 clubs across the United States are now integrating Evolt 360 products into their club offerings, a rise of more than 100% in the past 12 months. For more information or to bring Evolt 360 to your club, visit evolt360.com.
