Fall Fitness Campaigns = New Member Gains

Having a year-round marketing plan to drive new members to your club is essential for meeting your growth goals and replacing lost members. But as the seasons change, so should your marketing messaging. As we say goodbye to the dog days of summer and hello to the back-to-school grind, it’s the perfect time to attract new members and re-engage ones that might have dropped off during the summer. We’ve rounded up a few of our top campaigns to gain more members for your fitness center this fall.

Back-to-School Campaigns: Offering exclusive back-to-school discounts for students and teachers, or for parents looking to get back to their fitness routine after summer break is a great way to attract new members in your area. Working out is always more fun with a friend. Sweeten the deal with an additional “join with a friend” or guest pass promotion to double your potential new members.

Fall Fitness Challenges: Everyone loves a fall-themed event, so pumpkin spice up your fitness challenges and help your members squash their goals. Host a Harvest Hustle 5k that ends with a small fall festival at your facility or a Halloween-themed Boo-tcamp. Make sure your staff and trainers are joining in on the fun and sharing your events on social media to generate more excitement.

Local Events and Sponsorships: Being active in your community is one of the best ways to create awareness about your fitness center. Partner with your local schools and businesses to sponsor events or host workshops on the importance of health, fitness and nutrition. For students, highlight how regular exercise can benefit them during the school year by improving focus, reducing stress and strengthening their immune system. Not only will you be showcasing your expertise on health and wellness, but you’ll also increase your visibility in your community and create a positive brand image for gym. It’s a win-win.

However you choose to promote your gym or studio this fall, you should be highlighting the strengths and features that are unique to your facility. Make sure your content is engaging, relevant and focuses on the benefits of being a part of your fitness family. As your community returns from their summer travels, don’t wait to showcase your gym as the place for them to get back on track with their fitness and health goals. With the right mix of consistency and creativity, you won’t leaf a single member behind this fall.
