In 1983, Mark Mastrov founded 24 Hour Fitness. Forty years and more than 60 countries later, he’s building a 45,000-square-foot facility in his home town with everything a fitness enthusiast needs and wants. 24 Hour Fitness announced Founders Club by 24 Hour Fitness, a new club designed by Mastrov that opens in Summerlin in early 2027.
“I’ve spent my career building thousands of gyms in more than 60 countries,”said Mastrov. “This location and facility in Las Vegas is something special. Every detail reflects what I’ve learned about what members are actually looking for today. Summerlin is one of the fastest-growing communities in the country, which makes it the right place to show what the next generation of fitness looks like.”
Founders Club is built around what Mastrov believes matter most: the right equipment, and plenty of it; a big open well lit space, at more than 45,000 square feet; classrooms and a recovery room to support well rounded training, and a variety of amenities that make the gym special. It’s designed for people who want to get after it, where they can train, recover and stay a while. The club represents a $10 million investment, including more than $1 million in recovery equipment alone.
Located at 9200 West Sahara Avenue, the brand new club will include:
- 25,000 square feet of free weights and strength training, including 12 platforms.
- A large turf area for functional training.
- A spacious cardio and selectorized weight stack area.
- A recovery lounge with hyperbaric chambers, massage chairs, wave chairs for cold therapy, red light saunas, pelvic floor chairs and more.
- A group fitness studio offering a variety of classes, from Pilates and yoga to Zumba and BODYPUMP.
- Private individual showers, plus a large sauna room and a cold room.
- A juice bar and social cafe, with lounge seating and open tables for members who want to stay and work.
- A full medical spa, including IV therapy and full health services.
- A posing room.
- A glute and lower body training area.
- Large video screens and 100 inch TV’s throughout the club.
- A DJ booth.
- 24-hour access, seven days a week.
The community extends beyond the training floor, with recurring hosted programming that includes morning coffee sessions, run clubs and recovery nights.
“When I opened my first gym in 1983, the best part of the job was knowing the people who walked in every morning,” said Mastrov. “My family and I have built Founders Club around that feeling. The people at the door should know you, there should be so much equipment that you never have to wait, and recovery and medspa are part of the plan. This facility has everything for the fitness enthusiast. It’s not too big and not too small, it’s just the right size.”
Pre-opening memberships range from $59.99 to $99.99 per month.
