On Sunday, November 12th, people from all across the U.S. will put on their running shoes for the Las Vegas Rock N’ Roll Half Marathon. These participants aren’t just running for purely fitness-related reasons. Instead, they are running on behalf of Team Quest4ALS, with a mission to find a cure for ALS.
This includes myself. In November I’ll be joining The Atlantic Club’s team because for me, ALS hits close to home — soon I will marry into a family that lost a loved one from ALS. So this year, I will run in Laurie Walton’s honor and to show my support for her family.
Myself and The Atlantic Club’s TeamQuest4ALS run:
To support Augie’s Quest.
To support the ALS Therapy Development Institute’s research efforts.
To find a cure.
Augie’s Quest directly funds the ALS Therapy Development Institute, which is the world’s foremost drug discovery center focused solely on finding a cure for ALS. According to Augie’s Quest, “The Institute’s innovative science and cutting edge approach has resulted in the identification of AT-1501, a promising treatment for ALS. We also pioneered the ALS Precision Medicine Program, the world’s premier program and partnership with ALS patients to discover additional potential treatments.”
As a result, the time to show your support is now. Please consider making a contribution to support the quest for a cure. You can help me reach my fundraising goal at this link: https://www.classy.org/fundraiser/930586.
