The Minnesota-based fitness club, Anytime Fitness will be expanding to Mexico. Anytime Fitness is the largest coed fitness franchise in the world. The franchise agreement for Mexico was developed with entrepreneur Rodrigo Chavez. Chavez plans to launch at least 100 clubs in a five- year time frame. “We are thrilled about Mr. Chavez’s plans for Mexico,” says John Kersh, vice president of international development for Anytime Fitness. “He is a very savvy businessman with the skills and experience to help Anytime Fitness thrive internationally.”
The first Anytime Fitness is set to open within the next six months by Chavez. He plans to open five within the next year and 50 clubs within three years. His goal of 100 clubs should be reached by 2014. “I’m doing this because I want to help create a better world for our children,” Chavez says. “I believe that people have a better attitude when they are healthier. Better attitudes lead to a better world. My motivation is my kids.”
