The new iPod nano, recently released by Apple, has stirred up some controversy throughout the fitness industry. Some major clubs throughout the U.S. have decided to band the tiny device from locker rooms due to the video recording capabilities.
Major gym chain, Pioneer Press, has banned the device from its locker rooms to avoid any situations that could possibly occur. Life Time Fitness, a company that spans 19 states has banned the new iPod nano from its locker rooms entirely. According to sources at neowin.net, the small device makes it hard for people to tell if someone is recording video or simply selecting a song.
The device has still been allowed in workout areas but the video capabilities have been restricted from those areas as well. This development has come after several gyms have already banned cell phones with photographic capabilities from gym floors and locker rooms in previous years. The iPod nano already has been launched, but it is unclear as to whether or not Apple will have a solution to the current development.
