Planet Fitness has expanded its headquarters in Newington, N.H. According to the “Judgement Free” company, the expansion was needed as a result of the company’s fast growth across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
“We keep growing, faster and faster,” said Chris Rondeau, the CEO of Planet Fitness, in a news release. “We needed the space to keep up with it.”
According to Planet Fitness, the number of employees at its corporate office has doubled from 50 to 100, within the past year. Therefore they added 10,000 square feet of space to its headquarters.
In addition to the corporate expansion, Rondeau announced that Planet Fitness plans to open 150 new locations, and that the company has received nearly 1,000 commitments from interested franchisees and owners.
As of today, Planet Fitness boasts 704 clubs throughout 47 states and Puerto Rico.
“We’ve nearly tripled in size within the last five years,” added Rondeau in the release.
