UFC Gym recently celebrated the opening of its 100th location with the opening of its second Hawaii location in Waikele. UFC Gym BJ Penn opened on February 8th, 2014, in partnership with BJ Penn, an UFC Ultimate Fighter.
“I’m proud that the opening of my second gym marks this milestone in UFC Gym’s growth,” said BJ Penn, a native of Hilo, Hawaii, in a statement. “I opened my first gym in Oahu two years ago to share my workouts and lifestyle with the community. The results and techniques have proven very effective for our members. I couldn’t be happier to expand to the west side of the island to continue to impact the way people work out and ‘Train Different.’”
“In our Honolulu location, we have seen thousands of members accomplish next-level results utilizing the training techniques practiced by the world’s most elite UFC athletes,” said Adam Sedlack, the president of UFC Gym, in a statement. “We are very excited to raise the UFC Gym flag on the west side of Oahu. To date, more than 100,000 members have seen overwhelming success. We are honored to celebrate this important tipping point for our brand and look forward to continuing to bring our ‘Train Different’ approach to the rest of the world.”
UFC Gym’s growth was spurred by the acquisition of LA Boxing, which it purchased in early 2013, adding all 81 of LA Boxing’s clubs to UFC Gym’s portfolio.
