UFC GYM will open its largest gym to date on Saturday, January 23, in Los Angeles. The new gym, UFC GYM La Mirada, is located in southeast Los Angeles County.
The location joins more than 130 UFC GYM clubs and 100,000 members worldwide and is the fifth signature club in the region along with locations in Torrance, Corona, South Corona and Rosemead, Calif.
“This gym raises the bar as the premier fitness destination in all of Los Angeles County,” said Adam Sedlack, the president of UFC GYM, in a statement. “Opening day will give the entire community a chance to experience what makes our gyms different. Tens of thousands of members have gone through amazing transformations by combining the best of traditional fitness with the innovation of how the world’s best athletes train. I am so proud to bring our largest location to the great city of La Mirada.”
UFC GYM La Mirada joins 10 other UFC GYM signature clubs located in Concord, Rosemead, Corona, South Corona, Sunnyvale and Torrance, Calif.; Long Island and Manhattan, N.Y.; Honolulu and Waikele, Hawaii.
In addition, UFC Gym announced it has partnered with four-time IFBB Figure Olympia Champion Nicole Wilkins, who will lead a 12-week body transformation challenge at the UFC GYM in Corona, California.
“UFC GYM is proud to have signed the iconic four-time Olympia Figure Champion Nicole Wilkins to lead and mentor our Transformation and Competitive Stage teams,” said Sedlack. “We have long trained members the way MMA athletes prepare to fight in the UFC, and now Nicole Wilkins will help prepare our members to become stage ready and compete at the highest level in the world of physique and bikini. Fusing together MMA conditioning with Nicole’s knowledge will be very powerful.”
The program is slated to begin on February 1, 2016. It will consist of group personal training, nutritional programming, supplementation and for those that want to compete on stage, UFC GYM has agreed to pay the entry fee.
