Wisconsin Athletic Club (WAC) has opened its largest facility to date. On September 19, 2016, WAC opened a 60,000-square-foot club in Brookfield, Wisconsin, the largest of seven WAC-owned health clubs.
The club features five pools and five group exercise studios, in addition to boasting personal training, wellness coaching, classes for seniors, nutrition services held in a kitchenette area, and a large, private women’s-only studio. It will offer over 80 complimentary group fitness classes, in addition to 27 Advanced Training classes.
“It is exciting to see all our plans for this location coming to fruition,” said co-owner Ray O’Connor, in a press release. “The facility turned out beautifully, and we are very excited to be moving to the Brookfield market. The new location is a wonderful complement to our six other locations in greater Milwaukee, and we look forward to having our members make a home at this exciting new facility.”
This year, the WAC is celebrating its 40th year in business. It is locally owned and operated by partners Keith Nygren, Ray O’Connor, Chez Misko and Keith Mardak.
“The WAC has always been much more than a place to workout,” said Keith Nygren, co-owner of the WAC. “We want to continue to be that ‘home away from home’ as we have been since our beginning in 1976. I couldn’t think of a more perfect way for the WAC to be celebrating our 40th anniversary than for us to be opening our largest facility to date.”
The WAC has seven locations including Brookfield, West Allis, Greenfield, Wauwatosa, Downtown, North Shore and Menomonee Falls.
This athletic club is really huge, I’ve been here twice and it’s wonderful.
