VASA Fitness Fulfills Members’ Needs Through Power Systems

Functional training is no longer a new trend — it’s an established way for health clubs to generate revenue through membership acquisition and retention. Having the necessary tools for members and trainers to achieve their desired results should be a top priority for facilities of any size.

Here, Whitney Huff, the executive assistant for VASA Fitness, discusses VASA’s approach to functional training and shares why they work with Power Systems to fulfill their functional training product needs.

CS: Why is offering functional training products like plyo boxes and kettlebells important?

WH: It allows our members the opportunity to do more movement-based training. They are able to have a better experience in their workouts when they have this type of equipment available. Having this type of equipment is extremely important to the success of our membership base.

CS: What is great about working with Power Systems?

WH: Easy would be an understatement. Their customer service is the best. Our dedicated account rep is fantastically responsive to our needs. Power Systems has been our preferred provider for over three years, and we couldn’t be happier.

CS: From an ownership perspective, why did you want to offer Power Systems’ products within your facility?

WH: We wanted to offer Power Systems’ products because we were looking for a partner that combined good pricing, fast delivery, great products and outstanding customer service. In addition, the biggest and most important trend that we have seen is movement-based training. We have gotten more variety of equipment over the years.

CS: What are some of the Power Systems’ products you offer that are most popular with members?

WH: Plyo boxes, strength bands, mats, medicine balls and kettlebells are some of the most popular items with members.
