The saying, “You can’t out-exercise a bad diet” is something fitness professionals around the world know. But, what about your members? Many may be unaware just how big a role the food they eat plays in their overall health and wellness.
With this in mind, Lisa Holtan, the owner of Body Works, wanted to make sure she offered a nutrition component to her members, which she accomplished through a partnership with Balanced Habits. Here, she shares the benefits of the partnership.
CS: How were you introduced to Balanced Habits, and why did you decide to work with them?
LH: I offered nutrition guidance, but not anything personalized or as detailed as Balanced Habits. We’ve been a partner with Balanced Habits for six months. We were introduced by Jonathan Aluzas of Net Profit Explosions.
CS: What are the benefits to your business as a result of this partnership?
LH: The ability to offer a nutrition program that my competition does not. Plus, the ability to position myself as the expert in not only fitness, but nutrition as well.
CS: What are the benefits to your members as a result of this partnership?
LH: The Balanced Habits program teaches them how to lead a healthy life. The program offers another service to our members and positions us as the fitness and nutrition expert in our town.
CS: Have you been pleasantly surprised by working with Balanced Habits in any way?
LH: Yes, they are very helpful with all questions and guiding you along the way. Their training is very comprehensive.
CS: What can you tell other club owners about the benefits of working with Balanced Habits?
LH: Working with Balanced Habits has brought a new service to our members and non-members. This program is the best nutrition program out there and my members love it. They love the flexibility of it, the ease of understanding the program and the accountability we provide as food coaches. We all know that nutrition and fitness go hand and hand — this is a way for fitness clubs to bring the nutrition piece to their members.
