How were you introduced to ABC Financial Services, and why did you decide to work with them?
JF: Our owner, Bernie LeCocq, heard about ABC Financial through his REX Roundtable. In addition, he was very unhappy with the operations of the system we were using. ABC Financial was again recommended to Bernie and his staff by a fitness consultant, so we decided it was what the best gyms in the country were using and we needed to be one of those gyms.
What are the benefits to your business as a result of this partnership?
JF: We just started with ABC, but we know the benefits will include streamlined billing, better and more accurate reporting, more efficiency for all employees, more transparency within the company, more capabilities to manage and see what team members are doing, ability to lock down or allow certain actions within the software, and much more. We also believe it will give our staff a better overall sense of security when processing and reporting on all financial transactions.
In addition, it will allow our members to view information about their membership they have never been able to see before. They will easily have access to information, billing, classes and much more. Customers love to know what is going on, so this is huge and such an easy way for us to communicate with our members. Our members will also enjoy having more financial security and understanding, which our previous partner did not have and actually made us lose members because of.
Have you been pleasantly surprised by working with ABC Financial Services in any way?
JF: Absolutely, working with ABC has been amazing. I would list all the reasons here, but there are just so many that make up what a joy it has been to work with ABC. In addition, the customer service we receive from all the additional service lines ABC provides for questions and concerns are so pleasant and extremely helpful.
What else can you tell other club owners about the benefits of working with ABC Financial Services?
JF: The overall experience may be challenging when it comes to transferring software systems (ours was a mess), but ABC didn’t complain or act like we were more trouble than other clubs. They listened to us, made everything a step-by-step process and stood with us through the entire transition. We had a ton of issues with our data and they never made a big deal about it — they helped us sort through it all and kept us positive.
