As a health club operator, you lead an extremely busy life. Sometimes it can feel as if there’s not enough time in the day to manage your health club, lead your team and balance your personal life.
Fortunately, in today’s day and age, there are a variety of apps and technological solutions that can help you increase productivity, streamline operations, work better as a team, and ultimately gain back some precious hours. Here are a few examples of some of these tools.
Sendible
Managing social media can be time consuming, especially when your health club has a presence on multiple platforms. Enter Sendible, which allows you to manage every platform from a single location. The platform integrates with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Google My Business pages. It is easy to use, intuitive and boasts a number of other solutions outside of just posting capabilities, including analytics reports and social listening.
Google Calendar
There are a multitude of scheduling apps and physical planners for leaders to choose from. However, the one my team and I consistently rely on is Google Calendar (bonus factor: It’s free!). Here, my colleague Heather Hartmann explains what she loves so much about this tool.
“I like Google Calendar for many reasons,” she said. “One reason is because it’s digital. I can move things around very easily. It’s always very clean and organized. In addition, you can set reminders and leave a lot of detailed notes in Google Calendar, which is nice. I can write notes and set reminders and share events, all from one place. I like the ability to see multiple calendars in one place as well, like my work and personal calendar — and you can sync calendars, which is beneficial if you have a business partner or need to coordinate with others.”
Slack
For many leaders, email is a major source of stress. It can feel as if your inbox is constantly filled to the brim with urgent emails from both members and employees who need your attention.
Cut down on some of this stress via Slack, a messaging app your team can use to streamline in-house communications. Instead of relying on email, which can be slow, your team can use Slack to keep in touch quickly and effectively. And, you’ll receive less email to your already cluttered inbox.
MeisterTask
Task management is an important aspect for all leaders. And one tool that can make that process much easier to oversee is MeisterTask, a collaboration and task management tool. Through MeisterTask you can create boards for specific projects, assign tasks and upload files.
This tool is another one my team relies on for our day-to-day operations. Here, my colleague Kaitlyn Clay explains what she loves most about the tool. “I like that you can share tasks with team members and monitor their progress,” she said. “It’s been integral to helping us stay organized. You can set deadlines and create checklists. In addition, it’s user friendly.”
