Ralph Rajs has joined the team at In-Shape Health Clubs. The fitness industry veteran will serve as vice president of fitness innovation and programming for the 65-location brand, drawing on his 20 years of experience in fitness and club management.

Rajs explained he was drawn to In-Shape’s high-performance culture. “Everybody I met during the interview process I really enjoyed talking to,” he said. “They seemed incredibly dedicated to the company and to their jobs, and were very earnest about wanting to do things right. That made it very attractive. I definitely felt that high-performance culture they’ve been working on cultivating.”

In his new role, Rajs will be responsible for driving In-Shape’s strategy for new products, programs, partnerships and fitness education for group fitness and personal training. In addition, he will lead recreational programs like swim lessons and summer camps.

Rajs said he’s excited for the opportunity to hone in on the specific area of fitness programming — an area he’s personally passionate about as an avid runner, cyclist and triathlete. “I’m excited about really being able to delve into fitness in a narrower lane than I have in the past,” he said. “It feels good to feel like I can contribute value, and that they value what I have to contribute.”

Prior, Rajs served as senior vice president of operations at Leisure Sports.

“I’ve been fortunate to work for an excellent company in my past role, and now I have the good fortune of working with another one,” said Rajs. “For me, being in the industry — the energy just fires me up, it’s so invigorating and exciting to be around this group of people. I’m really embracing the opportunity to look at things from a different perspective and have a different experience going forward.”
