How Rise Fitness and Performance Built Its Culture Around Myzone

Actionable, live workout data keeps members engaged in their exercises and at your club. Myzone’s blend of wearable technology and gamified exercises enables your members to workout harder and your instructors to train smarter.

When it was first starting, Rise Fitness and Performance in Visalia, California wanted to make sure its members were excited to come back after their workouts. That’s why Rise chose Myzone — with its team challenges that incentivize earning Myzone Effort Points (MEPs), Myzone helped Rise “talk science with members” and keep them engaged, according to Aaron Sing, the club’s owner.

Here, Sing shares how critical Myzone has been to Rise’s growth and why he built his club’s culture around Myzone’s offerings:

How has Myzone helped improve your fitness class offerings?

Myzone has given us the ability to see what’s going on in real time with a client. Do we need to back them down, motivate them more or keep them where they are? It has allowed us to individualize a member’s workout even though they’re in a team setting at times.

What do your members like about Myzone?

Our members like the challenges we do with it — they are competitive and like to show that side when they can. They also like the ability to see how their body is responding to a certain training stimulus. They can see where they are from a fitness level standpoint, as well as the work they put in. It’s always nice being able to see effort pay off.

How would you describe Myzone’s customer support?

Myzone has been great from a support standpoint. Any questions we have or tech support we need, they are there to help and have been a huge help to us, making sure we stay connected in the facility to avoid any issues with members’ belts.

Why should other club operators consider working with Myzone?

From an engagement standpoint, it doesn’t get better. You can literally build a culture around Myzone. Our members talk about MEPs to their friends who don’t even workout, and then when they come in and try us out, they are already wanting to know more about MEPs and the heart rate monitor. We have gained members from other gyms because of the craze over MEPs. Even people who didn’t workout had heard about MEPs and Rise.
