The Atlantic Club has partnered with Hackensack Meridian Health, a network of healthcare providers in New Jersey, to deliver a free mental health workshop series to the community that is open to the public.
The series of mental health workshops — offered in person and virtually — will seek to cover a number of mental-health related topics, including:
- Letting go of stress.
- Resilience in tough times.
- Mindfulness and meditation.
- Living intentionally.
The mental health workshop series will be led by a Hackensack Meridia healthcare professional, and The Atlantic Club’s fitness and wellness team will also provide an experiential portion during live sessions involving movement, stretching exercises and demonstrations of mindfulness tools.
According to The Atlantic Club, the series has been named the Dr. Joe Miller Memorial Mental Wellness Workshop Series to honor the tireless work of the late Dr. Joe Miller to address the mental health crisis in our communities.
“The Atlantic Club is excited to partner with Hackensack Meridian on the very important and timely issue of mental health,” said Kevin McHugh, the COO of The Atlantic Club, in a statement. “The past two years of the pandemic have been extremely difficult on everyone and mental health awareness and help is needed now more than ever.”
The first free workshop is “Letting Go of Stress: How to Adapt, Cope and Thrive,” and will be held on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 7 p.m. ET.
In addition, The Atlantic Club will provide a free Intro to Yoga and Meditation master class on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. ET,
