BODYBAR Pilates announced the appointment of Michael Piermarini as its new COO. Piermarini joins BODYBAR Pilates with a wealth of experience in the fitness and franchising sectors, having played a pivotal role in Orangetheory’s global expansion during its hyper-growth phase.
Piermarini held several key leadership roles at Orangetheory, where he played an instrumental role in shaping the company’s fitness programming, education and strategic partnerships during a period of rapid expansion. As director of fitness, he drove initiatives that elevated the brand’s global presence and ensured consistency in quality and experience across international markets.

In his new role as COO, Piermarini will oversee BODYBAR’s marketing, growth strategies, and operational performance, with a focus on driving both new studio success and same-store sales. His experience leading cross-functional teams, aligning organizational strategy, and fostering innovation will be instrumental in ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience across all locations as BODYBAR expands its footprint and strengthens its community impact.

Piermarini, who holds a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University, is also a former member of Team USA in the sport of duathlon, having competed at the World Championships in Switzerland. Outside of work, Piermarini is a dedicated fitness enthusiast, avid traveler and self-described foodie. He resides in Dallas-Fort Worth with his wife, Brittney, and their German Shepherd.
