Fitness2020, Georgia’s rapidly expanding high-value, premium fitness brand, announced the acquisition of Evans Fitness Center in Evans, Georgia, along with the advancement of its new Grovetown location. The combined transaction exceeds $30 million and brings more than 108,000 square feet of state-of-the-art fitness space into the Fitness2020 portfolio.
“This acquisition and expansion represent a major milestone in our vision to deliver accessible, premium fitness experiences across Georgia,” said Jason Pelusi, the CEO and founder of Fitness2020.
The Evans location, a 68,000-square-foot two-story facility will undergo $2 million in renovations and receive significant new equipment investments. Current Evans members have been grandfathered into Fitness2020’s Elite membership at no additional cost, gaining seamless access to the brand’s growing network of clubs, including locations in McDonough, Smyrna, East Lake and Stockbridge, Georgia.

Fitness2020’s Elite membership includes 24/7 access, monthly body composition analysis, recovery amenities, unlimited group training in the PLAE Performance Zone, and reciprocal access across all locations. Basic memberships remain available at accessible price points, reflecting the brand’s “high value, low price” philosophy.
Simultaneously, Fitness2020 is moving forward with its Grovetown project — a new 40,000-square-foot facility under construction. The Grovetown club will feature the same high-quality amenities, equipment standards, and member experience that define Fitness2020, including group fitness, personal training, recovery options and access to the exclusive PLAE Performance Zone for Elite members.
The move marks Fitness2020’s entry into the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) and underscores the brand’s momentum. In recent years the company has opened or advanced major locations in Smyrna, East Lake, and additional sites in the greater Atlanta metro, while partnering with industry leaders such as PLAE for performance training zones and Matrix Fitness for equipment reliability.
“Evans Fitness Center has built a strong community in the CSRA, and we’re committed to elevating that foundation with major investments while expanding our footprint into Grovetown,” said Keeghan Grodi, the COO of Fitness2020. “Adding these two locations continues our aggressive growth trajectory — four new gyms in just two years — and strengthens our ability to serve more members with the clean facilities, top-tier equipment and supportive environment they deserve.”
Evans members will continue training at their home club during renovations, with updates communicated directly.
