Retro Fitness Vaccination Offer: Learn more about the “$0 down and no commitment membership” offer for those who have been vaccinated beginning April 1, 2021.
Retro Fitness, which has more than 120 clubs open or in development across the U.S., is incentivizing Americans to get vaccinated by offering a $0 down and no commitment membership to anyone who has received the vaccine beginning April 1, 2021.
“Now more than ever health clubs are in fact an extension of healthcare, and we support the recommendations of the CDC and WHO, which are advocating everyone receive the vaccine,” said Andrew Alfano, the CEO of Retro Fitness. “As such, we are doing our part to incentivize health and fitness by creating this promotion and getting Americans back on their health and fitness journey. Be seen regularly at your local health club, or there’s a chance you will be seen regularly by your local doctor.”
Post-COVID, Alfano is further convicted in the concept of gyms being an extension of the U.S. healthcare system.
“The $30 billion fitness industry was forecasted to grow 20% over the next five years, and that was before a global pandemic shined a light on obesity and the many unhealthy behaviors people adopted,” said Alfano. “Despite the extreme challenges the pandemic inflicted on businesses across the country, people have quickly learned exercise is medicine and the best vaccine one can have so far is to be fit and healthy.”
With this in mind, and the fact more and more people are getting vaccinated, Alfano said he was feeling hopeful for the future of the fitness industry. “With 71.6% of America overweight or obese, people recognize they need to get back into a healthy routine and that means getting back to their health clubs, so yes, I feel extremely hopeful about the future of the industry,” he explained.
In addition to incentivizing vaccines, Retro Fitness is also emphasizing its holistic approach to a membership at its facility, highlighting amenities such as group fitness and the Retro Fitness Kitchen, which offers healthy recipes taught by Chef Elizabeth Makos, an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America.
To take advantage of the $0 down and no commitment membership, consumers must simply indicate to an employee they’ve been vaccinated.
“Retro Fitness is committed to getting America healthy,” said Alfano. “We hope this offer will inspire as well as incentivize people to get back to the gym. We support the vaccine, but we also trust those who come in our doors, so we will take people at their word for this promotion.”
