Genesis Health Clubs has acquired the St. Joseph Tennis and Swim Club in St. Joseph, Mo. Genesis boasts 13 locations total, 12 in Kansas and now one in Missouri.
“We are looking forward to expanding outside of Kansas and to not only continue offering superior tennis to the city of St. Joseph, but also a fitness component,” said Rodney Steven II, the owner of Genesis Health Clubs. “Currently I feel that the city is very underserviced, and we are excited at the opportunity to provide our high level of service and expertise to a new community of members.”
Changes to be made to the former St. Joseph Tennis and Swim Club include an expansion to accommodate for a cardio area, weight room and remodeled locker rooms and tennis courts. Genesis purchased two acres of land north of the facility to allow for these changes.
Additionally, on November 23, 2013, Genesis Health Clubs will host a grand opening for its newest build in McPherson, Kan. The new location will boast a cardio and free weight area, two group fitness studios, smoothie bar, tanning, childcare and more.
