Industry Buzz: MYZONE Users Go for Gold

This summer, MYZONE is giving away $9,000 during the Olympics to registered MYZONE users, in an attempt to encourage more people to exercise. The event is called the MYZONE GAMES, and will take place August 15th through 28th.

On August 15th, all existing MYZONE users will be invited to the MYZONE GAMES, and will be entered into a pot for a random drawing. Any and all exercise will count, as long as it’s tracked by a MYZONE device.

“We are leveraging the Olympics spirit,” said Emmett Williams, the president of MYZONE. “We are trying to encourage people to move more by leveraging game mechanics and lottery mechanics. Extrinsic reward like this is a great way to ignite behavior in your member, and appeals to those that are not intrinsically motivated, but need some spice.”

According to Williams, past challenge like this have shown to grow exercise frequency and intensity by 25 percent. After the MYZONE GAMES, the company will release stats showing the impact the challenge had.

Winners of the MYZONE GAMES will be announced during a live drawing at Club Solutions’ headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.

WHO? Invite will be sent to all MYZONE users on August 15th.

WHAT? Users will be awarded 1 ticket into a specific prize draw for earning MEPs. By the time users get to the gold they will have ​1​ ticket in all ​3 prize draws.​ Ten​ winners will be selected in each draw.

SILVER Users will need to earn 1200 MEPs to be eligible to enter the Silver Pool.

GOLD Users will need to earn 1800 MEPs to be eligible to enter the Gold Pool.

BRONZE Users will need to earn 600 MEPs to be eligible to enter the Bronze Pool.

WHERE? Everywhere. Any and all exercise counts.

WHEN? August 15th to August 28th while the world celebrates sport, exercise and movement.
