Fortune.com has reported that TSG Consumer Partners is nearing a deal to invest in the fitness franchise Planet Fitness. A filing with the Federal Trade Commission concerning the investment can be found here.
Dan Primach, of Fortune.com, wrote, “Pierre LeComte, a San Francisco-based partner with TSG, is leading the transaction.”
According to Primach, there is, “No word yet on if this is a majority or minority investment, as TSG is known for doing both.”
There are around 400 Planet Fitness clubs in the U.S., and the franchise is well known for its slogan, “The Judgement Free Zone®.”
