One of the largest health club brands in the U.S., LA Fitness, is set to expand even more, this time in San Antonio, Texas. The national chain is set to open its fourth location in the city, with construction beginning in the spring of 2014.

The new LA Fitness will be located in the Northeast section of San Antonio, at Loop 1604 and Bulverde Road. It’s one of more than 45 LA Fitness locations in Texas and one of 607 throughout the country.

San Antonio’s newest LA Fitness will be 45,000 square feet and offer everything that LA Fitness has come to be known for. Amenities include a sauna, locker rooms, racquetball and basketball courts, a lap pool and group fitness classes. Personal training and babysitting are also available for an extra charge.

Group fitness classes offered at LA Fitness include anything from belly dancing and boxing, to core work and classes suited to seniors. Offerings vary by location.

“We want residents of the Northeast area to have a convenient, comfortable environment where they can choose from a variety of activities to achieve their personal fitness goals,” said Bill Horner, the Chief Real Estate Officer for LA Fitness, in a news release. “Whether they’re looking for a clean, welcoming club for their daily workout, a group fitness class or a basketball or racquetball game, our affordable monthly memberships have something for everyone.”

Memberships with LA Fitness cost $29.99 per month, plus a one-time $99 initiation fee.

Northeast San Antonio residents will get the chance to join one of the larger health club networks in the country come spring 2014. The gym’s grand opening will also bring in about 50 new jobs to the city.
