Blink Fitness has appointed Dos Condon to the newly created role of vice president of franchise operations. In this new role, he will work to advance Blink Fitness’ franchising initiatives, and will be the point person for franchise partners.
Prior, Condon served as vice president of operations. Now, Blink Fitness will kick off an external search for a new vice president of operations.
Condon started at Equinox Holdings, Inc., which owns Blink Fitness, as a personal trainer. He continually worked his way up the ladder, becoming a personal training manager and then general manager. In 2000, he opened the first Equinox outside of the New York City market in Southern California.
“Franchising is critical to our long-term success, and this move demonstrates our commitment to building a world-class franchise system,” said Todd Magazine, president of Blink Fitness, in a press release. “One of the most important objectives of our franchise model is to ensure that the Blink experience is the same, regardless of where a member joins. Having Dos in this role gives us tremendous confidence in our ability to deliver on this objective.”
Blink Fitness has a goal of reaching 300 locations nationwide by 2020.
Founded in 2011, Blink Fitness is a premium quality, value-based fitness brand with more than 50 locations open or in development throughout New York and New Jersey. Its motto is “Mood Above Muscle,” which stresses enthusiastic staff members, a clean environment, an open, spacious and colorful design, energizing music, and fitness training that is motivating and affordable.
