HOTWORX Franchisee Promotes Health to Fire Departments

In 2010, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) conducted a study of nearly 30,000 fire fighters that suggests “fire fighters are at higher risk of cancers … when compared to the general population.”

To help fire fighters in his community detox after fires, lieutenant Chaise Ashton Hudson is opening up a HOTWORX franchise. Here, he shares why he became a HOTWORX franchisee and what he hopes the franchise will achieve.

CS: Why were you interested in becoming a HOTWORX franchisee?

CH: To join an already amazing team and bring cutting-edge health and fitness benefits to our hometown and to fire departments across the country.

CS: Why do you think it’s important for your hometown and fire departments across the U.S. to have access to fitness opportunities like HOTWORX?

CH: We are bringing HOTWORX to our hometown fire department as well as fire departments across the globe to promote health and wellness. Firemen are at high risk for cancer because of the exposure to so many different substances (fires, chemicals, gasses). Even though they wear protective gear, the residue that settles on skin is absorbed into their body and over time it creates health problems. HOTWORX in fire stations will allow our first responders to detox after fires and help purify their bloodstream.

CS: From a business perspective, why do you think HOTWORX will be a great opportunity?

CH: HOTWORX is a great opportunity for many reasons. It’s cutting-edge fitness, quick and torches calories — and there are so many other health benefits on top of just fitness. The 24-hour availability to get your workout in allows for everyone’s schedule to be accommodated, and it’s just plain awesome.

CS: What are you most excited about with HOTWORX and becoming a franchisee?

CH: First and foremost, we are excited to open our very own studio in our hometown that we both grew up in. We are also very excited about bringing awareness of the dangers that firefighters face and the benefits of detoxing and hopefully getting saunas in fire departments across the U.S.

CS: Is there anything else about the opportunity and how you’re going to operate/use it you can share?

CH: We are just so excited to be part of this amazing team. We are in the process of negotiating the lease right now and are super excited that our studio will be built from the ground up. They will hopefully break ground in mid to late October and we will be ready to start up our very first studio hopefully by Spring 2018. We are looking forward to making 2018 amazing!

CS: What type of support do you receive from HOTWORX corporate?

CH: Corporate support has been amazing. They are willing to answer questions when they arise, offer support and welcome us into their family.
