2017 Club Solutions Leadership Retreat Recap: Where the Magic Happens

In today’s increasingly digital age, it can be difficult to make time for one-on-one interactions. That is why each year, we host the Club Solutions Leadership Retreat, an exclusive peer collaboration event that brings together health club professionals for two days of dedicated leadership training, networking and unique experiences.

“The 2017 Club Solutions Leadership Retreat was first class and very productive for me,” said Marvin Gresse, the assistant general manager of Stone Creek Club & Spa. “The organized roundtables were a great catalyst for discussion and interaction among the club operators. The synergy and atmosphere of networking afforded to us between the formal sessions was invaluable and helped me connect one-on-one with world-class club managers and owners.”

This year’s event was moderated by Allison Flatley, an industry veteran and founder of Allison Flatley Consulting. Attendees tackled topics ranging from navigating technology disruption and maximizing personal training revenue, to customer service initiatives and incorporating industry trends.

Of course, the event wasn’t all business. Attendees and sponsors also tackled the “Build a Boat and Hope it Floats Challenge,” which required participants to construct a boat out of cardboard, tape and other materials. Each boat was then put to the test, resulting in a true “sink or swim” scenario.

It’s shenanigans like these that make the Club Solutions Leadership Retreat so special, forming memories that will last a lifetime.
